Expect significant delays. CA laws regarding background searches have changed; Court Public Access Terminals no longer provide enough information to fully identify an individual when a possible record exist. Thus researchers must go to the court clerk for clarification. Courts are not dedicating staff for this type of assistance. This has resulted in delays as the researcher is at the mercy of the court clerks "as time permits".
* PAT offline. Clerk only searches permitted. Clerks limiting the number of searches/day. Expect long delays.
